Clinical Interests

Natural/Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) Treatment of Pain, Women’s Health and Cancer

Dr. Mitch Kennedy is a nationally board-certified and licensed naturopathic physician. He currently serves as a clinical instructor with the UConn School of Medicine and is the first Naturopathic physician credentialed to practice at the UConn Health Center.

Dr. Kennedy’s clinical training covers three separate types of medicine: natural medicine, conventional medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. His primary interests are clinically oriented, including pain management, adjunctive cancer care, and environmental detoxification. Dr. Kennedy's treatment programs consist of the latest, best researched and proven Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) modalities: Botanical Medicine, Clinical Nutrition, Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Homeopathy, Counseling and Body/Mind Technique.

Research Interests

Dr. Kennedy also contributes to Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) research efforts through collaboration with UConn Health Center faculty and is a member of both the UConn Health Center CAM Research and Integrative Medicine committees. He frequently participates in educational forums, panel discussions and workshops for UConn Health Center medical students, residents and the general public.
