Educational Interests

Dr. Guerrera is leading the Department of Family Medicine Residency Training Program in the Integrative Medicine in Residence (IMR), a 250-hour curriculum development project of the University of Arizona’s Center of Integrative Medicine that will create and deliver competency-based online integrative medical training to residents. IMR is initially being piloted in eight, nationally selected family medicine residencies with the goal of expanding to primary care and subspecialty training programs throughout the US and abroad. In addition, her interest in and commitment to humanism in medicine led to launching Dr. Rachel Remen’s “The Healers Art – Awakening the Heart of Medicine” within the School of Medicine in 2007. She enjoys working with students and residents in the clinical setting where she weaves acupuncture and mind-body medicine into her integrative medicine, family medicine practice.
