Welcome! The programs in complementary and integrative medicine
at the University of Connecticut Health Center involve
clinicians, researchers and educators who are committed to the
development of evidence-based complementary medical techniques
and therapies that can be combined with conventional medical
therapies to optimize health and healing.
The University of Connecticut
Health Center is also part of the
Consortium of Academic
Centers for Integrative Medicine.
In addition, many faculty members are also active members of
The
International Society for Ayurveda and Health (ISAH), a
consortium of 11 medical schools, led by Amala Guha Ph.D., M.P.H., M.A. (see below), the president of the society.
Below, please find a list of faculty clinicians, educators and
scientists, as well as associated community clinicians who are
committed to medical, dental and graduate student education that
includes the study of: acupuncture, energy
medicine, naturopathy, Ayurvedic Medicine, Traditional Chinese
Medicine, environmental detoxification, allergic disorders, yoga-based research, pain management research, herbals, dietary
supplements, nonallopathic providers and counseling for HIV and
